The six steps

How AJ Cosmo Labs works

One platform for the whole product-development supply chain. A product starts as a formulation and ends as stock you can sell — and at every paid step in between, the money sits in escrow until both sides confirm the work is done.

The six steps

1. Formulate

Draft a formulation with AI across 100+ product types — choosing category, use concerns, and texture — or start from a formula already listed in the marketplace. You get ingredients, percentages, and phases you can actually hand to a chemist. Your first formulation is free.

2. Validate

Post an open request or hire a specific chemist. They review safety, stability, and regulatory fit, can request a physical sample, and issue a pass or a documented rejection. A rejection is not a dead end — you revise and resubmit, and the escrowed fee for a failed step is refundable.

3. Fund escrow

Accepting a bid moves money from your wallet, or a Stripe card charge, into escrow. It sits there untouched by either side until the work is confirmed. Neither the chemist nor the manufacturer can reach it early, and neither can you withdraw it once work has started.

4. Manufacture

Post your run and let contract manufacturers bid on it instead of chasing quotes by email. You see price, quantity, and shipping cost side by side. The awarded manufacturer clears a pre-production checklist — validation on file, lab testing, sample approval — then produces the run.

5. Ship & confirm

Goods ship with tracking, with live carrier rates and labels built in. Both sides confirm delivery, and that dual confirmation is what releases escrow. Failed QC means a refund instead.

6. Distribute

List the finished product for wholesale or resale, track it by SKU and batch, or drop-ship it from the manufacturer straight to the end buyer.

Eight roles, one set of rails

The same escrow, messaging, and order rails serve every side of the supply chain, so you are not stitching together separate tools for each relationship:

Nobody gets paid until the work is confirmed

Escrow is the part that makes the rest safe to use. Money moves into a holding state that neither party controls, and it leaves that state only on dual confirmation — or back to the client as a refund when a formula fails validation or an order fails QC. The platform's service fee is only ever retained on completed, confirmed transactions.

Full detail on refunds, failed QC, and disputes is in the Refund Policy. The rules that govern the account itself are in the Terms of Service.

What the platform charges

Chemist and manufacturer pricing is set by the professionals themselves and quoted per project, so you compare real bids rather than a rate card. What the platform itself charges is fixed: your first AI formulation is free, and after that formulations are $9.99–$34.99 each depending on the AI model tier you choose. Chemists listing formulas in the marketplace receive 85% of the sale price after the platform service fee. For validation and manufacturing you set the budget, post a request, and compare bids.
