Blake Mereby

I build production iOS apps end to end.

Not prototypes. Shipped products with real payments, real auth, and a real backend behind them — designed, built, and launched to the App Store by one team that owns the whole stack.

Selected work

Proof, not a portfolio of mockups.

Every project below is a real product with real users — shipped, submitted, and running in production.

AJ Cosmo Labs

A cosmetics industry marketplace, live on the App Store.

A multi-role platform connecting brands, chemists, manufacturers, distributors, designers, and influencers. Every role gets its own onboarding, home screen, permissions, and revenue model — inside a single app. Designed, built, shipped, and still maintained by me.

Services

Ways to work together.

Fixed scope, fixed timeline, agreed before anything is built.

Most requested

MVP build

4-8 weeks

An idea becomes a working app in the App Store. Scoped hard to the one thing your product has to prove.

  • Product scoping and screen-by-screen spec
  • Native iOS app (React Native / Expo)
  • API, database, and authentication
  • TestFlight beta and App Store submission

Full product build

3-6 months

A complete multi-sided platform: several user roles, payments, subscriptions, admin tooling, and the infrastructure to run it.

  • Multi-role accounts and permissions
  • Stripe payments, subscriptions, and payouts
  • Media pipeline, search, and notifications
  • Analytics, moderation, and admin dashboards

Rescue & ship

2-6 weeks

You have a half-finished app and a stalled contractor. I take it over, get it stable, and get it submitted.

  • Codebase and architecture audit
  • Fix the blockers keeping you out of review
  • App Store compliance pass
  • Handover docs, or ongoing maintenance

Process

How a build actually runs.

Scope

We agree on exactly what ships and what doesn't. You get a written spec and a fixed timeline before any code is written.

Design

Screens are designed against Apple's Human Interface Guidelines first, so the app feels native rather than like a website in a shell.

Build

You see working builds continuously, not a reveal at the end. Frontend, API, and database are built together by the same person.

Ship

TestFlight, App Store review, and launch — including the compliance work that stalls most first-time submissions.

Questions

Before you ask.

Do you build the backend too?

Yes. App, API, database, payments, and infrastructure are all in scope. There is no second vendor to coordinate with, and nothing gets dropped between them.

Who owns the code?

You do, in full, in your own repository. There is no proprietary platform you are locked into and no per-seat licence on your own product.

Can you get it through App Store review?

Yes — that is part of the engagement, not an extra. AJ Cosmo Labs is live on the App Store, including in-app purchases, subscriptions, and the privacy declarations Apple requires.

What happens after launch?

Either a clean handover with documentation, or an ongoing monthly arrangement for features and maintenance. Your choice, decided at the start.

Tell me what you're trying to build.

A short description of the idea is enough to start. You'll get an honest answer on scope, cost, and whether I'm the right person for it.
