It detects proximity to the scalp and automatically reduces heat output to protect sensitive skin, while still drying hair efficiently. Previous models required manual heat adjustments. For formulators, this means heat-protectant products must perform across a wider, dynamically shifting temperature range rather than a single fixed setting.
